Wandering the universe for an eternity, Adrift among the stars. His lonely path now brings him home To the small blue planet called Earth. His return is inevitable. He's known it all his life. In his blood, a calling: Finally... He's coming home.

PRELUDE His destination lies ahead. The small blue planet calls him. Now he will answer that call. He is home. Following his path toward the end, Soaring inevitably towards earth, A passionate fire ignites in his heart. With the fervor of a thousand angels, With infinite zeal, His soul sings the anthem of his return. FUGUE The descent begins. The planet trembles. The journey ends. The planet, with it.

about

What is it like, exploring the vast infinity of space? The eternal question for those of us who remain bound to our planet's surface, indeed, but this story is about a celestial wanderer who is bound for home.

Day in, and day out, adrift. Every day, every exhale an icy chill, lacking heat, and for that matter, the wind of his familiar Sun. He misses his planet, the blue oceans and green waves over the fields. He misses the feel of ultraviolet rays on his face, and laments his constant exiled stewardship of the small steering-wheel meteor.

He breathes in, then suddenly, he realizes something.

There IS a solar wind. And not just any passing star, but this is a familiar heliosphere. The Kuiper Belt, close...

He smiles. There may be a chance yet.

A chance for him to come home.
